To bring convergence amongst skill development training programmes being implemented by various departments in Odisha and to scale skilling activities both in quantitative and qualitative terms. The state government has created a unified Odisha Skill Development Authority. OSDA spearheads, steers, implements and coordinates and oversees all the skill development programmes executed in the state.
Directorate of Skill Development & Employment is the nodal directorate for short term skilling and employment. DSDE primarily deals with all short term skilling programmes, employment exchanges, career guidance through Model Career Centers, organization of recruitment drives, conduct block level counselling camps and placement drives.
